Review a Squarespace site
You can collect client feedback on a Squarespace site without publishing it or handing over editor access. This works even while the site is still on a trial, so your client can sign off before you commit to a plan.
How to do it
- Copy your site's web address. On a trial this is the your-site.squarespace.com address. On a paid plan it is your live domain.
- Bring it into SiteViewer. Choose Import from URL to bring the pages in, or Live website to review the real working site.
- Set who can see it. Keep the password on, or send a no-password share link for a quick look.
- Collect the feedback. Your client pins comments straight on the page, and you export them as a change brief when you are done.
Good to know
If the Squarespace site has its site-wide password switched on, use Import a site that needs a password and enter it once.
Why it helps
- Review before you publish. Your client can sign off while the site is still on a trial, before you commit to a plan.
- No Squarespace login for the client. They open one link, with no account and no editor access.
- Feedback on the real design. Comments land on the actual layout, fonts and spacing, not a flat screenshot.
