Share links and passwords
There are two ways to let a client into a preview: send them the link and the password, or send a no-password share link. Here is when to use each, and how to take access away again.
The link plus password
This is the default and the most private option. Send the client the preview link, and share its password separately. The client enters the password once and stays unlocked for 7 days on that browser, so they can come back without typing it again.
The no-password share link
A no-password share link is one link that opens the preview without typing a password, which is handy for a quick sign-off. Generate it from the preview, send it, done.
Taking access back
- Revoke a share link at any time. Once you revoke it, the link stops working immediately.
- Current viewers are signed out too. Anyone who unlocked the preview through that link is signed out as well.
- Rotating the link kills older copies. Rotating the link invalidates older copies, so a forwarded link goes dead.
Tip
Use the password for ongoing client access over a project, and a one-off share link when you just want someone to take a quick look.
